Residents of New Toulouse were alarmed this evening when a sudden, unannounced parade occurred in the city.
Krewe Van Winkle apparently slept through Mardi Gras and decided to parade without a permit during Lent. The disorganized parade led many locals to arm themselves, fearing some kind of invasion or unusual zombie activity; when the krewe paraded through the actual cemetery, this did not help matters. But shortly after tripping through the tombs, Krewe Van Winkle declared the parade at an end and dispersed.
